Commitment and Responsibility

In Orbis Systems, we are committed to operating our business responsibly. Our successful business operations adapt to meet market demands and expectations. In our business areas, we produce value-added services that the customer feels worthy and desirable.

Quality and Environment

Leadership sets world-wide business goals twice a year (P12 and P6), which also shape the goals of different functions and processes. Also, each person's and task-specific goals are in line with other organization's goals. We regularly monitor the achievement of the goals set for the targets and guide our activities through them.

We understand the regulatory requirements for our products and compliance obligations for our operations. By continuously developing our products and operations, and by providing guidance, we ensure that the customer receives a product and service that meets their expectations. We are aware of our responsibility for the environmental impact of our delivery process and are actively involved in the supply chain, ensuring that our suppliers are committed to taking environmental issues
into account in their operations.

Conflict Minerals Policy

Orbis Systems is deploying its best efforts to follow EU regulations and Section 1502 of the US Dodd-Frank Act regarding Conflict Minerals (tin, gold, tantalum, or tungsten, the 3TG). Orbis Systems’ suppliers acquire and use minerals from multiple sources worldwide. As part of the commitments stated in this Conflict Minerals Policy, it is Orbis Systems’ goal to use tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold in its products that do not directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) or adjoining countries.

In support of this policy, Orbis Systems will:

  • Collaborate with its supply chain partners to take reasonable steps to ensure compliance with the law and regulations and to strive towards sourcing parts and materials which are considered “3TG conflict-free”.
  • Expect its suppliers to flow down this policy to their suppliers or establish a conflict minerals policy consistent to Orbis Systems’ conflict minerals policy.
  • Improve its knowledge of the origin of the 3TG present in its range of products throughout its supply chain to ultimately supply 3TG product that is “3TG conflict-free”.

Orbis Systems does not directly source the gold and tin used in its products from mines, smelters or refiners. Therefore, Orbis Systems relies on the information provided by its direct suppliers, which in turn rely themselves upon their own suppliers, direct and indirect.
