RF Engineer Chennai/India


At Orbis Systems, our solutions provide the world’s leading telecom brands test methods required to ensure total quality satisfaction. We are seeking a qualified RF Engineer to our design team in Chennai, India. This position needs flexible working hours. Expected travel days internationally 20, and domestic 10.

Description of the new job

Working with Orbis Systems’ multidisciplinary team to define the requirements for wireless test systems based on overall requirements
Work with various RF measurement architectures and understand their trade-offs, as well as closely cooperate with electronics, mechanical, automation and software design groups for an optimum partition between domains
Design RF, Analog & Mixed-signal circuit blocks/systems such as phase shifters, signal switching units, mechanical and semiconductor switch matrixes
Conduct feasibility studies for wireless test methods and enclosures
Floorplan and work with layout designer to implement wireless test design with best-practice layout techniques
Conducting of absorber material and antenna testing, investigation of waveform effects, supply isolations, high frequency ESD structures, and positioner layout for performance and manufacturability
Design and execute test and validation plans with RF Test Equipment such as Network Analysers, Signal Generators, Power Sensors etc.

To communicate with customer, provide technical solution to customer
To communicate with internal organization, carry out proper and competitive proposals to customer
To present Orbis Systems technology to customer and to make customer aware of value of Orbis Systems solution

Work experience and requirements for skills

Experience in RF test technology, preferably designing DUT and antenna test solutions
Familiar with MatLab, CST, NI AWR, and similar tools
System level comprehension to calculate link budgets for RF blocks and systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, efficient professional able to work alone or in teams
Offer quality and reliability to colleagues, customers and management, willing to share knowledge and able to communicate efficiently
Enthusiastic about further developing multidisciplinary experience from SW development, electronics design for enclosure test systems
Fluent spoken and written English

Requires MSc in Electrical Engineering
